Sophia Swithern, Head of Research and Analysis at Development Initiatives, will be giving the CENDEP Work in Progress Seminar this week.
Saving lives costs money. Humanitarian action needs the right funding so that it can be prepared to act quickly and meet needs. So as crises persist and donors
are squeezed, what do we really know about the financing? Where does it come from, where does it go, and how is it adapting in an increasingly complex humanitarian landscape? This talk will look at the work of the Global Humanitarian Assistance project which
examines the data to answer these critical questions – to highlight what we know, what we don’t know and how the system needs to improve.
The seminar is on Thursday 8 February, 16.30-18.00, in the Student Hub, White Space, on the 3rd floor of the Abercrombie building. All welcome.
